Donna and Charles Dicks are happy with their busy life as proprietors of the Pizza Joint.

But the time has come, the couple says, to hang up the pizza peel (that’s the paddle to take the pizzas out of the oven) and step back to spend more time with their grandchildren and a bit more time to themselves.

“We have decided to sell the business and are looking for a buyer,” said Charles.

“We simply think it’s time to have more family time.

“We have a profitable business and great customers but we have been here since July 2007 and it’s time to ease back.

“The Pizza Joint is a business which will suit a young couple or a couple with teenage kids,” Charles said.

“The Pizza Joint has a great clientele with many regular customers.

“The business has grown since we took it over.

“We started with a three day week and just got busier. There are plenty of options to expand the business – people often ask us if we can introduce new lines like pasta and kebabs – but we have ultimately decided to pursue other interests,” Charles said.
