Narrabri District Cricket Association’s 2020-21 season awards presentation event was held at Hogan Oval on Saturday evening after the two grand finals had been played.

Players from all four clubs received awards A full list of award winners is as follows:

Club championship – Narrabri RSL Cricket Club, junior cricketer of the year – Sid Harvey (Tatts), first grade under-21 player of the year – Tim Shields (RSL), district player of the year – Nick Smart (Civeo), cricketer of the year – Nick Smart (Civeo).

First grade awards:
Best and fairest – Nick Smart (Civeo) and Cody Kember (RSL), batting average and aggregate – Lachlan Cameron (Civeo) with 346 runs at 38.44, bowling average and aggregate – Jade Lees (Civeo) with 21 wickets at 10.67, most improved player – Cody Kember (RSL), premiers – RSL (eight-wicket win against Western Razorbacks), grand final man-of-the-match – Jake Brayshaw (RSL) who took a match-best 4-17 from 8.5 overs and also took a catch.

Second grade awards:
Best and fairest – Will Ford (RSL), batting aggregate – Shane Robinson (Western Razorbacks) with 216 runs, batting average – Rod Kirk (Tatts) with 182 runs at 45.50, bowling aggregate – Luke Baker (Civeo) with 20 wickets, bowling average – Bernard O’Connor (RSL) with 19 wickets at 8.37, most improved player – Jye Manton (Civeo), premiers – RSL (26-run win against Civeo), grand final man-of-the-match – Tyson Gilmore (RSL) who batted at number 10 and top-scored for his team with 23 runs (and was part of a 46-run final-wicket partnership with his side’s captain Jason Trindall) and also stumped two Civeo batsmen.
