The local market is again in close proximity to all-time highs. A break up would give an initial target around the 8,000 to 8,200 level.
The US Nasdaq index looks as though it is forming a higher low and ABC type pattern. The GEAR ETF is our preferred US index play and we bought a parcel today and our stop is in place.
The price of gold spiked higher and very close to the $2,000 level on Monday and is in a retreat for now. The formation of a higher low would look like a sign of strength and a break of the low might end the current run up.
Ramsay Healthcare shares rose more than 20 per cent in morning trade on the news of a non-binding offer.
Judo Bank shares look to have broken the downtrend and we bought a few for the educational portfolio today.
