Richard (Dick) Eather was a respected figure in the Baan Baa, Boggabri communities

The communities of Baan Baa and Boggabri have been deeply saddened to learn of the death of Richard (Dick) Eather on June 3, 2024.

Ninety-seven-year-old Mr Eather is survived by his wife of 74 years Vida and was the father and father-in-law of Steve and Berice Eather and Lucy and Mick Simpson.

He was a proud grandfather of Jimmy and Sandie, Will and Leah, Jono and Nicki, Graig and Diana, Amie and Heath and Lisa.

He was also loved dearly by his fifteen great grandchildren.

Until their retirement to Tamworth in November 2011, Dick and Vida lived on the family property at Baan Baa and were very involved in all aspects of the community in both Baan Baa and Boggabri.

Mr Eather was held in high esteem in the Baan Baa and Boggabri communities.
