Last Friday Narrabri hosted the NRL league tag gala day for high school girls at Cooma Oval.

Narrabri High School entered two teams in the under-14s – a Year 7 team and a Year 8 team, and one under-16 team.

The girls all played very well and had a lot of fun running around throughout the day.

The Year 8 team saw the most success on the day with three wins to place second in their age group.

That advanced them through to another gala day in Bingara on Wednesday, September. 4

The Year 7 team was not as lucky on the day although the girls played well, thus some of the players in the Year 7 team will be given the opportunity to join the Year 8 team in Bingara.

The under-16 girls had some fantastic plays and tries scored.

Notably Maddi Richardson and Maddison Russell showed their pace, both scoring run away tries on the day.
