Big rigs will be a feature of ‘Back to ‘Bri’ in Collins Park

The Narrabri Shire-based heavy transport industry will be featured at the inaugural ‘Back to the ‘Bri’ festival on Saturday.

Heavy haulage businesses, their drivers, loaders, administration staff and others represent a significant part of the local economy.

The industry is expected to be one of the sectors to benefit from the expected ‘breaking wave’ of development which is gathering, and will see business generated by the Inland Rail project, the development of the infrastructure around it, and possibly a Narrabri gas industry.

More than 40 ‘big rigs’ will be assembled and on show at Collins Park on Saturday afternoon, giving the community an opportunity to inspect the vehicles and talk to the operators of the trucks.
