A 40 year reunion of Narrabri High School’s 1979 Year 12 students and 38 year reunion for 1977 Year 10 students was held over the October long weekend.
“The invitation was open to anyone who travelled the high school journey with us from Year 7 1974 onwards. This was also achieved through social media,” one of the organisers Cecely McGeachie said.
On Saturday afternoon, a tour of Narrabri High School was organised and former teacher Jacqui Warnock was present and had a copy of a 1977 Courier, in which the group enjoying looking at the photos in the paper.
“We had about 85 people at The Crossroads on Saturday night and were fortunate to have three past teachers join us, Shirley Ellis, Louise Duncan and Jacqui Warnock.
“We also had breakfast on Sunday at Sandra and Tony Duncan’s home to continue the reminiscing and capture those who could not make it on the night,” Cecely said.
