Stuart Black and Tracey Rex are busily preparing for a six-day motorbike trip for charity.
The duo will take on a round-trip beginning in Tamworth, travelling as far north as Lismore before the two Narrabri locals head back to Tamworth via Tenterfield and Tingha.
The 1545 kilometre trip is all part of the annual Variety Postie Bike Dash.
The pair will swap between riding the 1984 Honda CT110 motorbike and a car for their trip.
Mr Black participated in last year’s event and said it was a terrific adventure.
“It’s a long week,” he said.
“You become very tired by the third or fourth day.
“But it is a lot of fun with a lot of guys that you can chat to and build a general mateship with.
“We have always done Variety events and with this one being so close we thought let’s do it.”
The pair will leave Tamworth on their journey on Sunday, November 3 and return to Tamworth on Friday, November 8.
