Narrabri Shire Council has released the April results for PFAS testing in council’s water supplies. Three bores (Killarney, Tibbereena and Elizabeth) which supply water to the Namoi Street reservoir provided a positive detection to PFAS, however, is again below the current Australian Drinking Water Guidelines. Detection of PFHxS has increased from 5ng/l in March to 6ng/l. The detection of PFOS is again 8ng/l, consistent with levels reported in January, December and March, however, above the 6ng/l reported in February.
