Narrabri High School’s Year 12 students enjoyed a finale formal at The Crossing Theatre on Friday as their days of secondary school came to an end.

Guests were dressed for the big event with glamorous gowns for the girls and sharp suits for the boys.

Narrabri High School Year 12 coordinator Kathy Bailey said the formal is always special for everyone involved.

“It’s a great night to see them all dressed up, finishing off and celebrating their schooling,” she said.

“They all just looked amazing.”

The night opened with canapés in The Riverside Room at The Crossing Theatre, followed by the traditional group photo.

The year 12’s parents were asked to sit in the auditorium as the students entered one by one with a slide show of their year 7 and year 12 photos showing on the big screen.

That presentation was followed by a dinner, speeches from the year advisers Rebecca Anderson and Sarah Wallace, the principal Dinos Charalambous and the school captains Layten Smith and Georgia Goodhew.

The traditional Year 12 formal cake was cut by the outgoing captains Layten and Georgia, and vice-captains Jenna Baxter and Matt Nash.
