Narrabri Aboriginal community and communities across Australia will join in a big national dance event on Sunday.

Local Gamilaraay man Clinton Lamb has taken the initiative to get the Narrabri event up and running.

“Every Aboriginal community in Australia will come together at the same time and dance as one on Sunday” said Narrabri District Community Aid Service community development officer Lisa Almagro.

“The dance is for healing, connection, mother earth, community, climate change, kinship and a coming together as a nation.”

The Narrabri Nation Dance will be held at Cameron Park at 1pm

Anyone, or organisation, who would like to help be involved is invited to contact Clinton Lamb, 0487 631 810.

“If any one could help out with any of the following it would be most appreciated – cold water, ice, daddy cools, esky’s – anything to keep the people hydrated – bread, sausages, sauces, a barbecue for a sausage sizzle or small marquees for shade” said Lisa.

The Cameron Park dance will be a great opportunity for the community to get together and share the event.
