NDJCA teams play two games each at home

The Narrabri District Junior Cricket Association’s Ross Panton Cup (under-12s) and Tim Grosser Cup (under-14s) teams played two matches each on Sunday.

The two sides contested rounds five and six of their respective competitions here in Narrabri, after both played their first four games away from home.

The under-14s side lost its first game but scored a huge win in its second.

In round five Narrabri took on Armidale Blue. The home side batted second and made 9-81 from their 20 overs, falling short of the 111-run target set by the visitors.

In round six the Narrabri team batted second again and got the job done against Moree.

Moree batted first and finished on 4-102 after 20 overs.

Narrabri’s Bernard O’Connor (47*) and Jonty Fowler (36*) chased that down in 13.3 overs to guide their team to a 10-wicket win.

The under-12s side lost its round five game against Moree and its round six game against Armidale, both in close contests.
