Reverend Terry Sadler has been overwhelmed with the expressions of support for his personal contributions to children of south coast bushfire affected families.
“I have had so many people express their support and thanks,” he said.
“I have had a huge response since the article went in The Courier.”
Rev. Sadler has been creating wooden toys, cars, trucks, buses, even a Batmobile, from timber he has recovered or which has been donated,
“I have now despatched 60 toys for kids on the south coast, delivered by private citizens or through the help of Cathy Redding at Narrabri West Post Office,” he said
“The toys are made with love and I hope they are special for the kids.”
Rev Sadler has some timber but is now seeking some more.
“It needs to be untreated softwood – old pallets or packing cases are fine,” he said.
His workshop is at 27 Avon Street, off Fraser Street, Narrabri West, where he lives.
