The Narrabri Sporties’ 2020 bowls season has begun and on Saturday several bowlers took to the green to compete in Jackpot Bowls matches.
They did so in their new uniforms which feature a mixture of bright blue, bright green and white colours.
Results from the afternoon are as follows:
Laurie Gilbert and Peter Williams defeated Terry Wilson and Archie Sheppard by a margin of 10.
Tony Redman and David Briggs defeated Anthony Welchman and Sean Anderson by a margin of six.
Marie Redman and Len Ryan defeated Joyce Briggs and Graham Rose by a margin of seven.
Stephen Daskey and Bob Ireland defeated David Dewar and John Taylor by a margin of one.
The jackpot number was 14 and was not won.
Consolation prize winners were Laurie Gilbert and Peter Williams. The lucky losers were John Taylor and Dave Dewar.
