Narrabri’s 2019 Narrabri Showgirl Elsie McClenaghan is off to picturesque Dorrigo on Saturday, February 8 to contest the Zone 4 Showgirl judging.
Elsie will be accompanied by an entourage of Narrabri Show and community supporters including Show president Cheryl Pawley.
The Show committee is now seeking Elsie’s successor – Narrabri Showgirl 2020.
“We are looking for girls to enter the 2020 Narrabri Showgirl quest” said an organiser, Louise Stewart.
“We would like to hear from anyone who is interested – and if someone has a suggestion as to who they think would be a Showgirl entrant, please suggest their names to me.”
Local businesses and families may find the 2020 Showgirl at work or at home – just waiting to be encouraged to enter.
Showgirl entrants need to be under 25 years of age.
The 2020 Narrabri Show will be held from May 1 to 3.
“The Narrabri Show is definitely going ahead – the biggest event in the shire” said committee president Cheryl Pawley.
