Narrabri Police officers have charged a 29-year-old Narrabri man after he allegedly entered a home in town, in the early hours of February 18, and allegedly struck a victim in the face a number of times with ‘a multi-grip style tool’.
The man was arrested by police a short time after the incident and taken to Narrabri Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break, enter and commit a serious indictable offence causing assault occasioning actual bodily harm as well as stalking and intimating with the intent of causing fear or physical harm. The man was refused bail and is due back in Moree Local Court on April 14.
The victim was treated for injuries in Narrabri Hospital and was discharged later in the day on Tuesday, February 18.
