Main Street makeover

The second phase of the Narrabri CBD Project began today with work on the water main replacement getting underway.

The work replacement begins in the Bowen Street end of the CBD.

“Council aims to minimise the disruption to business owners and shoppers with Council working to ensure footpath accessibility to businesses is largely maintained while undertaking this project,” a spokesperson said.

“The project will be conducted with a coordinated and segmented approach with work to be completed in small sections at a time.

“This phase of the Narrabri CBD project involves the replacement of water mains, storm water improvements and roundabout resurfacing.

“The project will be completed with the asphalting of Maitland Street once all underground infrastructure has been installed and replaced.”
