The 2019-20 Narrabri District Cricket Association awards presentation was held at Collins Park on Saturday evening after the two grand finals had been played.
Players from all four clubs received awards on the day. A full list of award winners is as follows:
Club championship – Tatts Cricket Club.
Junior cricketer of the year – Bernard O’Connor (RSL).
First grade under-21 player of the year – Dylan Smith (Western Imperial Razorbacks).
District player of the year – Nick Smart (Civeo).
Cricketer of the year – Nick Smart (Civeo).
First grade awards:
Best and fairest – Tom Craig (Tatts).
Batting aggregate – Nick Smart (Civeo) 340 runs at 45.
Batting average – Nick Smart (Civeo) 340 runs at 45.
Bowling aggregate – Justin Knight (Western Imperial Razorbacks) 18 wickets.
Bowling average – Michael Cain (Tatts) 16 wickets at 7.13.
Most improved – Cooper Brayshaw (RSL).
Premiers – Tatts Cricket Club (26-run win against the Razorbacks).
Grand final player-of-the-match – Craig Gleeson (Tatts) who top scored with a match-best 28 then took team-best figures of 3-16 from six overs with the ball.
Second grade awards:
Best and fairest – Matt Potter (Civeo).
Batting aggregate – Matt Potter (Civeo) 548 runs at 91.33.
Batting average – Matt Potter (Civeo) 548 runs at 91.33.
Bowling aggregate – Justin Saunders (RSL) 22 wickets.
Bowling average – Jason Trindall (RSL) 17 wickets at 6.18.
Most improved – Will Ford (RSL).
Premiers – RSL Cricket Club (five-wicket win against Tatts).
Grand final player-of-the-match – Will Ford (RSL) who took a team best 3-15 from 7.5 overs with the ball and also threw a runout.
