A decision has been made by organisers of Dessert on Dusk 2020 to postpone the event due to the current health climate.

Thank you everyone who has offered support with cooking, providing a stall or in many other ways.

“We will be in touch when we have another date later in the year,” said Margaret Baxter.

“However, it is with great excitement we would like to announce our new Schools Ministry intern position for 2020.

“Narrabri’s Jenna Baxter began working in this position last week and has fitted in well in her new role.

“Jenna will be working beside schools worker, Chris Silver for two days per week.

“This role supports Chris, students and staff in programs, breaks and quiet times, wherever needed throughout the day,” Mrs Baxter said.

“Jenna loves the opportunity to give back to the school which has given her so much.

“When asked ‘what stood out on your first day at school as employed? and she answered ‘being called Miss’.

“Jenna has many gifts to share and is keen to be part of the work which has been offered for many years through Narrabri Schools Ministry Inc.

“Funding raised through events like Dessert on Dusk, make it possible to provide support to Narrabri High School by funding Chris and now Jenna in the school and also helps resource The Living Room.

“This is a building which provides a learning space and was provided by Narrabri Christian Churches.

“If anyone would like to make a financial contribution towards our cause, organisers would be very grateful,” Mrs Baxter said.
