Carvanners are on the road and heading home across Australia, with many passing through Narrabri shire.

Above, caravanner Robyn Hamilton pulled in to Narrabri Showground en route to her home in Toowoomba last week.

Her journey began on January 31.

“I think it is my responsibility to get home,” she said, adding she didn’t want to be a burden to anyone if she fell ill interstate, and she had family in Toowoomba.

The health authorities have urged ‘grey nomads’ to return to their homes.

“I prefer the term ‘solo traveller’,” laughed Ms Hamilton.

Meanwhile, a steady flow of campervans and caravans has pulled into the Showground camping area, all keeping a mandatory distance from each other in line with ‘social distancing.’
