The 2019-20 swimming season will be one to remember for an abundance of reasons, and for five Narrabri boys individual accolades have completed it in style.

The season was unfortunately shortened due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, however Harry Bennett, Toby Michell-Smith, Jack and Eddie Lowick and Alex Mison excelled during the time in the pool that they were afforded.

Swimming New England North West announced its 2019-20 season age group champions and runners-up on Saturday, April 18, and those five Narrabri swimmers were among those named.

After enjoying dominant seasons in the pool Harry was crowned the 13-years boys’ champion and Toby was named the 14-years boys’ champion.

Alex (open boys), Jack (10-years boys) and Eddie (8-years boys) were all runners-up of their respective age divisions.

Harry, Toby, Jack and Eddie were all representatives of the Wee Waa Swimming club in the 2019-20 season.

All four boys belong to Karla’s Swim Team coached by Narrabri’s Karla Carruthers.

Alex is a member of the Narrabri Stingrays Swimming Club coached by Fiona Connell.
