This Anzac Day in Narrabri Shire people have been urged to hold their own ‘silent salute’ in honour of the Anzacs at 11am on Saturday morning.
Jamie Condon’s JAC Productions is producing a commemorative video on behalf of The Courier as an Anzac commemoration.
The production is a voluntary community contribution by Jamie and Lachlan Condon.
Part of the video will be aerial coverage of residents who are undertaking their private commemoration at their homes, at their farm gates and at the end of their driveways with their hand held Australian flags during the 11am minute’s silence, tuning in to Narrabri community radio 2MAX FM for the Ode and last Post. There will also be a fly past over Narrabri township and Narrabri West.
At 11am, Jamie and Lachlan Condon, pictured above preparing camera drones, will video parts of town to capture images of the tributes.
Shire residents are invited to wave Australian flags, take ‘selfies’ and stills or video of their family marking Anzac Day observance in this most extraordinary of years.
The images will be used by JAC productions to create a heritage record of the 2020 commemoration. Please forward images to [email protected]
