Veteran 2GB talk show host Alan Jones, 79, is retiring from radio. He will continue as a newspaper columnist and television commentator. His long career has included four years coaching the Wallabies from 1984 – and would probably be welcome back. Former Namoi Cotton CEO Alan Jones shares the more famous Jones’ name. “I recall booking a Sydney restaurant and being offered the top table because they thought I was the radio Jones,” he once told Topical.
