‘Congratulations on rates decision’ says Chamber

Below, copy of a letter to Narrabri Shire Council from Narrabri Chamber of Commerce.

On behalf of the members of Narrabri and District Chamber of Commerce I would like to thank and congratulate you on your recent decision to favourably consider the Chamber’s request (13/5/2020) to not increase rates in our shire for the next 12 months.

This decision is solid recognition that your ratepayers are suffering heavily from the effects of drought and COVID-19 and desperately need the full support of all who represent them.

Narrabri and District Chamber of Commerce has a long (93 years) and proud history of tireless volunteer work with the business and wider community of our district in any way we can to ensure healthy growth for all.

A critical aspect of achieving the best results is a strong and amicable relationship with Narrabri Shire Council. Council’s recent decision to support the NDCC “no rate increase” request is a working example of the good relationship required for benefit of this great district.

The members of Narrabri and District Chamber of Commerce look forward to continuing to work closely with Narrabri Shire Council wherever we can for the benefit of our wonderful district and its community.
