Wee Waa ladies Lisa Pillar, Kay Dewson and Dot Dewson are the 2020 Namoi District Triples champions after winning three matches across the weekend at Narrabri Sporties.
They first defeated the Lightning Ridge team of Heidi Monch, Stacey Reynolds and Lyn Carney 29-10 on Saturday morning to advance to the semi-final.
That was played on Saturday afternoon and in their game the Wee Waa ladies defeated Moree team Lorraine Bartel, Ida Muusers and Dot Heffernan 32-6.
The other semi-final was an all-Narrabri contest which saw Helen Woodward, Debbie Gleeson and Lorraine Scott down Dawn Armstrong, Val Falkiner and Eva Sadler 20-8.
The final was played on Sunday morning which saw the Wee Waa ladies beat their Narrabri opposition 29-10.
The Wee Waa team will now travel to Lightning Ridge in October to play in the Region playoffs.
Narrabri Women’s Bowling Club matches were played last Thursday.
Caroline Tomlinson, Jan Etheridge and Berice Eather marked their place in the final of the ladies’ Triples competition after defeating Carol Demamiel, Gloria Campey and Kay Carolan 18-15. With 21 ends played there was only one end difference with Eather’s team winning 11 ends to 10.
The second semi-final between Glennis Godden, Di Chessells and Cecile v Janet Coleman, Debbie Gleeson and Lorraine Scott will be played on Thursday, October 1, with the final set down for play on Thursday, October 8.
Social bowls was also played on Thursday.
Lesley Price, Di Chessells and Janet Coleman defeated Pat Sheils, Ronnie Dewar and Lyn Tuckey 16-14.
Helen Woodward played swinging lead with Heather Caton, Glennis Godden and Rhonda Welchman to defeat Olywn Campey, Dawn Armstrong and Cecile 25-7.
