Priag Marketing was crowned the 2020-21 Narrabri District Cricket Association Namoi Super Slog T20 competition champions at Collins Park last night following a 30-run win against WTC Earthmoving.

Priag Marketing skipper Lachlan Cameron elected to bat after winning the toss and his side scored 9-124 in its 20 overs.

In reply, WTC Earthmoving totaled 9-94 to fall 31 runs short of victory.

Cameron and his teammate Josh Trindall played key roles in their side’s win.

Both scored 30 runs each, opener Cameron at the start of the innings from 19 deliveries then number six Trindall at the end of the innings from 28 deliveries.

Trindall then starred with the ball, taking game-best figures of 3-17 from four overs which included the key wickets of WTC Earthmoving big-hitters Mick Dowdell (19) and Cody Kember (7), while Cameron claimed three stumpings following an electric performance with the gloves.

Meanwhile, there is no rest for the champions as the NDCA one day season resumes today with round 11 matches.

In first grade, Civeo and RSL will go head-to-head at Leitch Oval in a top-of-the-table clash, while Tatts and the Western Razorbacks meet at Hogan Oval.

In second grade, ladder leaders RSL will take on Tatts at Gately Field, while second-placed Civeo challenges the Western Razorbacks at Collins Park. Tourist Hotel has the round 11 bye.
