A man has been charged after allegedly ploughing a golf course at Dunedoo.

Police believe it was about 8pm on Tuesday, April 27, that a man drove a tractor towing a disc plough to a golf course at Dunedoo, 90km north-east of Dubbo,

It is alleged the man used the machinery to plough most of the course’s fairways and greens, causing extensive damage.

He then drove the tractor from the scene, however, the hydraulic disc plough was left behind on one of the greens.

Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District were notified and began inquiries.

About 9am on Wednesday, April 28, police arrested a 34-year-old man at a property on Ballinda Road, north of Dunedoo.

While at the property, police seized two unregistered firearms.

The man was arrested and taken to Dunedoo Police Station, where he was charged with destroy or damage property and other offences.

The man appeared before Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday, April 28, where he was granted conditional bail to reappear before the same court on Wednesday, May 5.
