Oxford University researchers have come to the conclusion that COVID-19, not vaccination, presents a bigger risk to blood clots. A study was conducted into low platelet counts and blood clotting following vaccination for COVID-19. While the study showed an increased risk of low platelet counts and blood clotting following the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccination, the risks of adverse events were much higher following COVID infection. The study’s authors were fully independent from Oxford vaccine developers, the university reported.
