A Sydney restaurant has gone to high-tech lengths to address COVID-related staff shortages. The Matterhorn Swiss restaurant at Turramurra, on Sydney’s north shore, is using robots to deliver food to patrons. The robot, which is almost the size of a bar fridge, uses a tablet as its face. BellaBot, as the robot is called, costs $28,000 per unit and works its way around the restaurant by following an electric map of the venue. It finds the tables using sensors that are placed on the roof.
