Police inquiries to locate a wanted person have led to officers discovering a large amount of cannabis plants at a Yarrie Lake Road property.
Officers attended the address at 2.45pm on January 23 and discovered 86 cannabis plants of various sizes.
Two bundles of fireworks were also seized from the property.
Further inquiries are being conducted in relation to the matter.
Quarterly crime statistics
The latest crime statistics for Narrabri show that 13 break-and-enters were recorded in the last quarter of 2021.
Seven reported incidents of steal from motor vehicles and four stolen vehicles were also among the statistics.
The locations of the reported crime was predominantly spread across the town.
In Wee Waa, 15 break-and-enters were reported in addition to three stolen vehicles and three steal from motor vehicle incidents.
Location statistics show that the northern side of the highway, between Mitchell, Boundary and Maitland Streets, was of greatest concern.
Boggabri recorded two steal from motor vehicles in the same period.
Officer-in-Charge of the Narrabri Sector, Inspector Robert Dunn said police were focused on the volume of crime as well as crime of opportunity.
“As a result, we’ve increased bike and foot patrols,” he said.
Insp Dunn said bike patrols in particular have proved successful and will continue.
Stolen vehicle
A vehicle was stolen from Rose Street, Wee Waa, between 3pm and 11pm on January 22.
Following lines of inquiry, the vehicle was located by police who were on bike patrol.
The vehicle was located at 3pm on January 25 at a property on Alma Street.
Skip bin fire
Police responded to reports of a fire at a Maitland Street licensed premises at 9.35am on January 20.
On closer inspection, it was revealed that a skip bin was on fire at the venue.
Attempts to control the fire were unsuccessful.
Upon arriving at the scene, the Narrabri Fire and Rescue brigade was able to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown, however, police are not treating the matter as suspicious.
Stolen motorcycle
A red-and-black 1998 Honda motorcycle was reported as stolen from a property on Golf Club Road, Wee Waa, between mid December and January.

Community report leads to cannabis find
Police acted on community information and located a cannabis plant in Pilliga.
The plant, almost two-metres tall, was discovered in Dangar Street.
Police have thanked the community for their vigilance.
Bail breach in Wee Waa
Police bike patrols in Wee Waa located a man known to be on bail and unable to be in the town of Wee Waa.
Officers arrested the 30-year-old man in Rose Street at 8.50pm on January 30.
Police allege the man provided false details.
He was arrested and bail was refused.
Steal from motor vehicle at Cowper Street
A steal from motor vehicle was reported at Cowper Street, Wee Waa, between 6pm on January 6 and 6pm on January 9.
Break-and-enter at Maitland Street
A break-and-enter was reported at Maitland Street, Wee Waa, between 11.30pm on January 9 and 6am on January 10.
Entry was gained to the property by forcing the front door open.
Keys and a wallet were stolen.
The victim was at home at the time of the incident.
Break-and-enter at Alma Street
Police are seeking information in relation to a break-and-enter at a home in Alma Street, Wee Waa, during the Christmas holidays.
The home was broken into between Christmas Eve and January 9.
Police inquiries revealed a door had been jimmied open and the house ransacked.
Household items, including furniture and electronics, as well as a trailer were stolen from the property.
Forensic analysis was conducted by police.

Drink-driver detected
A 22-year-old man was stopped in Tibbereena Street at 11.10pm on January 1.
The driver was subjected to breath analysis and returned a blood alcohol reading of .093.
Unique bike stolen from William Morris Avenue
A unique bike was stolen from a property on William Morris Avenue between 9pm on January 24 and 7am on January 25.
The bike had been placed by the front door.
It is described as a gunmetal grey 27-speed Xway bike with black writing on the side and large tyres.

Drink-driver stopped on highway
Police stopped a 28-year-old man on Cooma Road for the subject of breath analysis.
The driver was stopped at 9.40pm on January 24 and returned a reading of .064.
Police said the man had driven more than 50 kilometres without being detected.
Police pursuit on Old Gunnedah Road
Police officers engaged in a pursuit on Old Gunnedah Road at 2.35am on January 23.
A 23-year-old man was sighted driving and police attempted to stop the vehicle.
The driver sped away and a police pursuit ensued, however, was terminated due to conditions.
The man later handed himself into police at Gunnedah.
The driver was issued with a court attendance notice for March 29.
Theft from supermarket
Police are investigating a theft from a Maitland Street supermarket in Narrabri at 12.53pm on January 22.
The thief stole a quantity of meat from the store.
Theft from Yarrie Lake Road property
Police are investigating a theft from a Yarrie Lake Road property between 10pm and 11pm on January 20.
A white fuel trailer and a quantity of petrol were stolen from the site.
Fuel was also syphoned from vehicles located at the property.
Pursuit on Ugoa Street
Police attempted to stop a vehicle on Ugoa Street which resulted in a pursuit.
The incident occurred at 7.47pm on January 20 after police observed the vehicle driving through Narrabri West.
During the pursuit, the vehicle entered a rural property on Yarrie Lake Road where the offender absconded.
Police were unable to locate the person of interest.
The vehicle was subject to forensic examination.
