Following a year where local sport was hampered by a combination of the COVID pandemic and wild, wet weather, Narrabri Golf Club was finally able to host the first two rounds of its 2021 Club Championships at the weekend.

The opening round was contested on Saturday, which was followed by round two on Sunday.

There were 58 male competitors in action across the weekend while 18 ladies took to the course.

Meanwhile, the ladies A-grade gross winner on Saturday was Louise Penberthy, with a score of 96, while Sunday’s ladies A-grade gross winner was Lyn Shearer with 91.
