A group of young Rotaractors have held their first meeting in preparation for the official formation of the Rotaract Club of Narrabri.

Rotaract, an arm of Rotary International, brings young people together to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service.

The Narrabri club was spearheaded by the Tourist Hotel’s Sam Werleman in conjunction with Rotary 9650 district governor David Mayne and Rotary Club of Narrabri president Darrell Tiemens.

As is custom in Rotary International, the formation of a new club needs to be chartered by an existing group – in this case, it will be the
Rotary Club of Narrabri.

The new Rotaract Club hopes to initially meet on a fortnightly basis at the Tourist Hotel.
