Dear Mr Coulton,
When you likely find yourself on the opposition benches later this year, it will be because your government:
- Failed to reform the ABC, and gave it more money.
- Wasted billions on the Barrier Reef.
- Promised net zero emissions.
- Capitulated on increasing wage theft that is compulsory super.
- Failed to engage in the culture wars, and ran from any defence of traditional values.
- Failed to support Porter, who has been found guilty of nothing, and then threw Tudge under a bus. He was one of few ministers actually standing up to his Department.
- Continues to fund “artists” whose work is more political activism than art, and is often disgusting.
- Failed to stand up for free speech, especially in higher education, and allowed academia to go pro-China, and made university degrees worthless by making universities dependent on non-English speaking, but fee-paying students.
- Did not make government smaller, but increased regulation.
- Mishandled the pandemic response by creating the so-called National Cabinet, which has no Constitutional basis. Contrast this approach to that of the pandemic of 100 years ago.
- Failed to adequately defend Australia against the threat to our north.
Also, everyone in that place should understand the judicial process and respect the rule of law. To use parliamentary privilege to prejudice a case yet to be heard, when the accused has pleaded not guilty, is a travesty.
