Thumbs down to allowing kids, young kids and adolescents who should know better, diving off the Violet Street low level bridge to swim in the creek there. All good innocent fun in hot weather, but kids being kids they forget where they are and step back onto the bridge roadway while horsing around. The accident potential is enormous. And the danger of diving off the bridge is real – who knows what drifts down, logs and debris, in the current.
