Narrabri Golf Club hosted its awards presentation night on Saturday after the season wrapped up hours earlier with the annual four-team event, the Goesunder Cup.
The awards were presented by Amy Hulbert from A and B Plastic Welding, the major sponsor of the club’s 2021 club championships, and committee member and golfer Louise Penberthy.
Troy Nott, a fellow golfer and committee member, was the presentation MC. He acknowledged the struggles that the club was facing ‘pre ‘COVID’, and congratulated everyone involved with the club for its significant turnaround.
He said that the club is currently kicking goals and has also attracted a positive number of playing members.
Nott made special mention of Mark Campbell, who received a loud round of applause from the crowd for his effort on the course which plays a significant role in the course being in the fantastic condition it is in.
He also thanked the Club Narrabri board and staff as well as course and club volunteers, sponsors, members and the Narrabri Golf Club pro shop’s Graeme Trew and Nicole Cooper, who he described as a breath of fresh air around the club.
