A 26-year-old man has been charged in relation to assaults at a licensed premises on Maitland Street.

The incident occurred at 7.55pm on February 12. The man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, reckless grievous bodily harm and affray.

One of the victims, a 31-year-old man, is alleged to have suffered a broken jaw and a dislocated molar as a result of the incident.

A second victim, a 48-year-old man, is alleged to have been knocked unconscious and suffered bruising and abrasions to a cheek.

Another victim is alleged to have been punched in the back of the head.

Bail was initially refused for the 26-year-old man, however, he was granted conditional bail in court in Moree. He will next appear in court on April 26.

Brawl in Rose Street

Police are investigating a brawl at a Rose Street home in Wee Waa at 6.30pm on February 19.

The 19-year-old victim who was inside the home heard a ruckus outside and decided to investigate the noise.

The accused and co-accused are alleged to have become aggressive. The victim was allegedly punched.

The incident is the subject of a police investigation.

Search warrant conducted in Wee Waa

Police conducted a search warrant at a John Gray Avenue property in Wee Waa on January 18. Firecrackers and ammunition were located at the property in addition to a small bag of substance alleged to be methamphetamine. Police investigations are continuing.

Police will question a 28-year-old man in relation to the matter.

Fuel stolen in Pilliga

Fuel was syphoned from a vehicle at a Dangar Street address in Pilliga.

The incident occurred between 9.30pm on February 24 and 8am on February 25.

Steal from motor vehicle in Boggabri

An unknown person broke into a white Toyota on Laidlaw Street, Boggabri, betwen 7.30pm on February 20 and 7.30am on February 21.

A wallet was stolen from the vehicle. The wallet was later discovered near a Boggabri business and had been emptied.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage in relation to the matter.

Additional property from the vehicle was located in Gunnedah. A police investigation into the matter is ongoing.

In a separate incident, police are investigating the break-in of a vehicle at Oakham Street between 2am and 2.15am on February 21.

The offender rifled through the vehicle, however, nothing was stolen.

Similarly, an offender broke into a vehicle on Wee Waa Street, Boggabri, between 12am and 11am on February 21. No items were reported as stolen.

Hunting knives stolen

Police are investigating the theft of hunting knives from a Wee Waa Street property in Boggabri between 5.30pm on February 20 and 12pm on February 21.

Quad bike stolen

A red Honda quad bike was stolen from a rural property between 8pm on February 21 and 10am on February 23. The bike was parked in a farm shed on a Bald Hill Road property.

Disqualified driver stopped

Police stopped a motorist driving on the Kamilaroi Highway, west of Wee Waa, on February 11.

The 33-year-old man who was stopped was known to be disqualified from driving. He was issued with a court attendance notice for March 31.

Theft from Alma Street

Between 9am on February 11 and 9am on February 12, an unknown person entered the carport of an Alma Street home in Wee Waa. Items were stolen from the carport.

Steal from motor vehicle

A motorcycle and keys to vehicles were among the items stolen from an Alma Street property between 10.30pm and 11.15pm on February 13.

An unknown person entered the property through the front yard and stole keys that were located inside a vehicle. The offender rummaged through the vehicle before entering a shed and stealing a Honda motorcycle.

Police are awaiting forensic evidence.
