I have read with interest over time, the reasons against the proposed Inland Rail route via our town of Narrabri.

I attended ARTC information days for interested locals, well over five years ago now, to see the proposed options for the routes via Narrabri.

At the time the community was asked for their input and feedback.

I wonder how many people took the time to even look at the proposed routes, let alone make a comment?

Now after all these years of planning and consultation with affected land holders the final route via Narrabri has been chosen.

Homes have been purchased along its path, together with properties and businesses.

Families have had to adjust their lives and, in some cases, move to a new location.

So, after all these years, opponents want the route changed.

Have they even given a thought to other affected farming families whose lives maybe in turmoil if the route is changed, and goes through their land?

What is going to happen to the proposed route if it was to be changed?

Land to be re-sold, maybe back to the original owners?

These are real concerns and questions I have.

To date I have not heard them mentioned by anyone.
