Have standards slipped at all, I wonder? We recently saw a Hollywood star strike the Academy Awards MC after the star perceived an insult to his wife. This hasn’t happened in the past 94 years of Oscar presentations. The interesting aspect was the enthusiastic standing ovation the star later received from his fellow Hollywood stars. What if he had followed up with the old one-two and then put the boot into the MC – would he have received even more rapturous applause from his Hollywood co-stars?
