Narrabri High School Year 10 student Ian Berney has been selected as a member of the Royal Youth Orchestra of NSW following his auditions earlier this year.
The orchestra camp will be held in Sydney from August 29 until September 4.
Ian and the other selected students will participate in rehearsals with the RYO conductor, tutorial sectionals and AWO and SSO musicians, lectures, master classes and Q and A with leading industry professionals.
For this exciting project, RYO partners with the Australian World Orchestra and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to bring RYO participants unique and inspiring experiences with some of the best musicians in the world.
The project includes a public concert performance by RYO on the stage of the Sydney Opera House on Saturday, September 3.
