Representatives from Transport For NSW were special guests at the October Narrabri Chamber of Commerce meeting.
The visitors were invited to speak on the Newell Highway upgrade.
Project manager Toby Harris gave a detailed overview of the $260 million Narrabri-Moree project which is estimated to take three and a half years to complete.
Fulton Hogan is the contracted company carrying out the upgrades and its communications manager Brendan Barrett spoke of the project details including staffing and timelines for the five sections of the Highway which will see improvements to 27 of the 100 km between the two towns.
