The death of Queen Elizabeth II was definitely a sad milestone in history, but Narrabri Historical Society moved quickly to maintain the continuum of our monarchial system, ordering an official portrait of King Charles. Such portraits are available free of charge to the community and not-for-profit organisations. No doubt, the late Queen’s portrait will remain proudly hung alongside Charles’ in the museum, a reflection of her historic longevity and the admiration in which she was held by so many.
