Last week’s escape by five lions from their Taronga Zoo enclosure aroused interest – particularly among zoo visitors at the time. Patrons were escorted to a ‘lion safe’ area as a precaution. They included campers who stay in the zoo grounds overnight under canvas. The popular sleep over nights are appropriately called ‘Snore and Roar’ stays.
