Deck the halls because it’s nearly time for the Wee Waa’s Christmas Mardi Gras.

Wee Waa and District Chamber of Commerce will host the popular silly season street party on December 15.

The action will kick off at 5pm on Rose Street and community members are encouraged to shop locally and invite friends and family to the Cotton Capital to celebrate and join in the festive fun.

As well as shopping, attendees will be treated to a Rotary barbecue, Lions Club ham raffles and the sounds of the Wee Waa Community Band. Jazz Junction will also be playing in the beautiful House on Rose gardens.

The winners of the NDCAS Elf on the Shelf competition will be announced along with the results of the hotly contested Lions Club Christmas lights contest.

And in news just in from the North Pole, Santa himself will make an appearance to spread plenty of Christmas cheer and no doubt bring a smile to the faces of children.

Chamber is reminding people to fill in their shopper dockets at the following businesses, to be in the draw for the lucky shopper vouchers and said people do not have to be present at the draw to win.

“Thank you very much to the participating businesses: PJ’s Country Clothing, Wee Waa Hot Bread Shop, Wee Waa Newsagent, Carlo’s IGA, Wee Waa Pharmacy, Imperial Hotel, Agies, Little Luxuries Beauty Salon, House on Rose, Bill Humphries Transport and Crockweld.”
As advertised.
