Maitland Street will be full to the brim with Christmas cheer next Friday evening, December 16, for the Narrabri Chamber of Commerce and Whitehaven Coal Christmas Street Carnival.

This year, the carnival is being held on a Friday evening. Organisers hope the new day will encourage families and friends to turn out and celebrate.

It will be an action-packed night, with something on offer for everyone.

Live music, kids’ rides, face painting and roving entertainers are just part of what is in store for Narrabri’s big night of festive fun.

Father Christmas will also make an appearance.

The Courier and Wee Waa News’ Shop Local Christmas promotion’s $7000 in prizes will also be drawn on the night.

The street carnival has also been supported by Narrabri Shire Council and the NSW Government through the Community Events Program grant fund.
