Family and friends gathered from regional NSW, interstate and New Zealand to celebrate Narrabri’s Jeremy Killen’s 80th birthday on Saturday.
Among the birthday guests were Jeremy’s immediate family, nephews, nieces, aunties, uncles and friends of several decades.
Many memories were shared, including Jeremy’s early days working on a remote cattle station near Eromanga, Queensland – Australia’s most inland town.
Those days included living in the saddle and mustering camps on the huge property, a diet of salt beef and damper out in the bush and later raising a Narrabri family, farming and commercial flying.
