Narrabri Shire Council will hold a series of community connection barbecues throughout the year, enabling people to connect with staff and elected members.

Council has said it will hold five barbecues in Boggabri, Wee Waa, Bellata, Gwabegar, and Narrabri over the coming months.

The community conversation barbecues will offer opportunities for people to connect with council staff and councillors to find out what’s planned in their area while also discussing local priorities and concerns.

The first community conversation barbecue will take place in Boggabri from 3pm on February 9, at Vickery Park.

Several council departments will attend, including parks and gardens, water, business development, waste, planning and customer
service.

An independent consultant from WRM Water & Environment will also be present to discuss the water study for Boggabri.

Dates for Wee Waa, Bellata, Gwabegar, and Narrabri barbecues will be confirmed at the next council meeting.
