The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a single car crash on the Newell Highway on Sunday morning.
Emergency services personnel attended the scene of the crash which occurred near Edgeroi at 10.55am.
Rescue crews worked to free the man, aged in his 50s, from the vehicle.
The man was then conveyed to Tamworth Hospital by helicopter.
NSW Ambulance reported the man had suffered head injuries as well as suspected neck or chest injuries as a result of the crash.
