Flying from Sydney to London in less than two hours could be a possibility within the next decade, research conducted by King’s College, London, in conjunction with the UK’s Royal Air Force shows. The travel study was funded by the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority. However, there is one slight catch for high-speed flyers, the high force could see travellers lose consciousness during take-off and landing. Study participants had no lasting ill effects, and one lost consciousness as a result of brief periods of high G-force.
