A 100-year-old heritage-listed building, The Lussh at Woolloongabba in Brisbane was the location for the wedding of Benjamin Brien and Rebecca Demamiel on March 17, 2023.
Benjamin is the son of Robert and Lois Brien of Narrabri, and Rebecca is the daughter of Bob and Carol Demamiel of Edgeroi.
Ninety guests attended the celebrations with the ceremony conducted by celebrant Jake Newell.
The bride was attended by bridesmaids Alex Conroy, Jordan Middleton, Georgia Phelps, Lisa Childs and Abby McClure.
The groom’s attendants were groomsmen Nick McClure, Chris McClure, Ethan McLachlan, James Hughes and Dylan Rosier.
Rebecca wore a white, full-length off-the-shoulder silk dress adorned with a large silk bow and a long train.
The bridesmaids were dressed in mismatched pink dresses, featuring differing lengths, styles and shades of pink.
Bouquets carried by Rebecca and her attendants were mismatched white bouquets including daisies, dahlias, cosmos and cala lilies.
Benjamin and his groomsmen dressed in an all-black theme with black suits, shirts and ties.
Speeches were made by mothers-of-the bride and groom Carol Demamiel and Lois Brien, bridesmaids Alex Conroy and Jordan Middleton, and groomsmen Nick and Chris McClure.
Rebecca later changed into a second, short, completely feathered dress with a matching bejewelled cowboy hat for a change of mood and the party celebrations began.
