The disappearance of Goondiwindi man Terry Lloyd remains unanswered almost eight years later.
Mr Lloyd left his home on November 24, 2015, travelling south on the Newell Highway.
His last known sighting was at a petrol station in Narrabri on the following day and his car was later discovered near the Pilliga Forest on December 2.
Mr Lloyd’s Toyota Rav4 was found crashed into a tree near the forest, west of Gwabegar.
The car was unoccupied and police launched a search in the vicinity of the vehicle. Mr Lloyd was not located.
The vehicle was slightly damaged, however, police at the time believed it would not be enough to cause critical injuries.
Police searches continued throughout December and were later called off despite extensive efforts by emergency services.
